.Nice Vent!

The plastic kitchen vent on our RV travel trailer broke off, so this is a replacement except this one is made of metal. Nice.

Well constructed Aluminum vent

I got this All Aluminum RV Stove Vent cover because it was made of aluminum instead of plastic. It is very well built and feels really solid. I don't have a current vent so I have to cut in this one once I am ready to put the stove and hood together but overall I am happy with how well made this is. Even the extended vent piece is aluminum if you need it so its perfect for replacing or just to add new.It comes with white Butyl tape to help seal it and some tape if you need to use the extender as well as the requested screws. I am not sure the screws are stainless or that great so I will probably get some that are so they don't rust but as a whole this is well worth cost if you need to replace the cheaper plastic ones.

Very well constructed RV range hood vent

This is a nice, sturdy range hood vent. All metal construction for the outside with a plastic flange that fits through the wall. It comes with small, narrow roll of foil tape for attaching the in wal flange to the outdoor unit as well as enough white butyl tape for the outside. The flange is quite thick about 1/4". It's thicker than others I have seen, so if you don't like the look of thick flange attached to the side of your RV, you should find another with the thin flange. The thick mounting flange does provide an added sense of security and rigidity. The main vent itself is much thinner material, but still feels very sturdy and expected to last the life of the rv. Finish is nice and looks really good, though I haven't had it installed for long to see if it will fade or yellow, but it looks great right now.

Practical Upgrade from Plastic Vent

I ordered this upgraded aluminum version to replace the plastic exhaust vent on my RV. The metal construction is noticeably more durable than the original plastic one, which had started to crack after one season.Unfortunately, I was not able to use this product as it wasn't the correct size for my specific installation. This is definitely worth checking carefully before purchase. While it appears to be an excellent replacement for plastic vents, it must fit your particular vent dimensions properly to be useful. The included butyl tape would create a good seal around the edges, and the automatic flapper design opens when the stove fan runs and stays closed when not in use. The travel clip that locks the flapper down is a thoughtful feature for preventing highway rattling.I've noticed the flapper sticks when first opening. The black finish looks with our RVs exterior, more color options would be helpful for matching different siding I guess. Overall, this seems like a practical upgrade from deteriorating plastic vents, but make absolutely sure to verify measurements before purchasing. When I i have time I'm going to take a much closer look at our vent to verify I can't make this vent work.
